Paint manufacturer Tikkurila has announced redundancies of up to 100 employees at its operations in Finland. The company is starting mandatory negotiations with employee representatives on the proposed cuts.
Proposed cuts at Tikkurila could affect all operations and personnel groups in Finland. Tikkurila's personnel in Finland currently comprise 750 people, and it employs 3700 worldwide. The group states that it needs to increase efficiency as well as form a more flexible and streamlined organization.
It will also re-assess the roles of its European production facilities, which are located in Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Russia, Poland, Germany and Ukraine. More actions may be taken in other locations.
A timeline for the proposed cuts has yet to be announced.
