150 employees at a dairy in Grådö in Dalarna, Sweden, have been issued with redundancy notices. The dairy in Grådö is part of the dairy cooperative Arla. This internal restructuring process is in consequence of the merger between the two dairy cooperatives Arla and Milko. The Swedish Competition Authority (Konkurrensverket) approved the merger of the two dairy cooperatives, however stipulated that Arla had to sell the diary in Grådö which has 150 employees.
Negotiations with the unions about the suggested redundancies are about to start.
