Leisure company Cairn Hotel Group will create 260 new jobs in Tyneside following an investment in a number of hotels. The company has been renovating Darlington's King's Head Hotel and the Scotch Corner Hotel, resulting in the creation of 120 new jobs. It has also opened DoubleTree Hotel, creating 140 more new jobs. Recruitment for new staff has already begun, and the new recruits will cover managerial, back office as well as bar and restaurant positions.
