Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ditton Chain, manufacturer of driving chains, opened a reconstructed facility in Daugavpils. Ditton Chain plans to create 120 new jobs by gradually increasing manufacturing output. The timeline for the increase is not yet known.
Ditton Chain is a newly established company deriving from Ditton Driving Chain Factory. The new factory will be used to manufacture high-quality driving chains, which will be exported to the European Union and US.
The reconstruction of the manufacturing facilities included the installation of turning and processing centres, metal processing equipment, high-precision presses, and thermal processing equipment for forging and nitro-cementing.
