Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
French multinational pharmaceutical company Sanofi will lay off between 140 and 160 people at its research and development base in Hungary. This restructuring is part of the consolidation of its R&D centers around the world.
Iván Rózsa, communications director for Sanofi's Hungarian unit, announced that about half of the 300 people employed in R&D in Hungary will be affected by the restructuring, but precise figure for layoffs will be given out after consulting with Works Council and Trade Union of the company.
Sanofi employs around 2,500 people in Hungary.
