Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
37 employees at wooden house manufacturer Älvsbyhus have been issued with redundancy notices. The company, which currently employs 307 people will cut 17 jobs in Älvsbyn, in the north of Sweden, and 20 jobs in Bjärnum located in the south part of Sweden. The internal restructuring will affect both white-collar and blue-collar workers. The company will reduce their workforce due to declining demand for housing.
