Description
Belgian manufacturer of metal plate processing machines LVD opened its second subsidiary in Slovakia on the 13 October 2011 creating 250 new jobs. Some 166 new workers have started working at the plant with the remaining jobs being filled until 2012.
Besides Europe, the company exports its products to North America and Asia. The plant is located in a region with a 30% unemployment rate. The government had provided subsidies for the investment.
