European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The aircraft manufacturer Airbus is to hire 1,200 people until the end of 2011. The new jobs will be created in both production and research departments.
Airbus has recorded 1038 net orders for aircrafts from January to September, which accounts for the equivalent of two years of production. It has to increase its production rates and will open a new assembly plant for its A350 at the end of the year.
