European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Swedish furniture retailer Ikea is to open a new store in Vila Nova de Gaia (Portugal) where 350 jobs will be created. The store in Gaia will attract an investment of EUR 80mn and will create 350 jobs.
In the near future the company will be focused on the opening of seven Ikea stores, three of which in greater metropolitan area of Lisbon, two in greater Porto, one in the Southern region and another one in Central Portugal, shopping malls and one retail park Ikea Centre Group and finally three plants Swedwood Portugal, located in Pacos de Ferreira.
