Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Lufthansa Technik Sofia is expanding its aircraft maintenance capacity with a new 2-bays construction in Sofia involving the creation of 350 new jobs. Additionally, a separate Light Weight Hangar will be constructed and used for line maintenance operations and lighter checks. In the presence of the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, representatives of Lufthansa Technik AG and Bulgarian Aviation Group, the two joint venture partners of Lufthansa Technik Sofia, confirmed the roughly 15 million Euro investment on 13th of September. The official signing ceremony took place at the Lufthansa Technik Sofia facility at the international airport of Bulgaria's capital. With the new capacity the number of employees will increase by more than 150 people to about 500 by the end of 2012. "Lufthansa Technik Sofia" is the Bulgarian subsidiary of the world leader in aircraft maintenance and repair, Lufthansa Technik AG.
