Gravure printer Prinovis, a subsidiary of the media company Bertelsmann, will cut 107 out of 800 positions at Nuernberg. After months of protests, the decision has been finalised by arbitration. While Trade union ver.di remains critical, the works council stated to be in favour of the restructuring decision. According to the management representative, job cuts are decided on the one hand due to an overproduction as a result of techological efficiency and on the other hand due to a decline in orders.
