Description
On 30 september 2011 Schibsted Media Group announced that they will reduce the cost base in the business area Media Houses Scandinavia by around NOK 200 million. In Sweden, the administration will reduce the cost base by around SEK 150 million and around half of the effect is a result of reduced number of headcount. The largest savings in Sweden will be within Aftonbladet where between 65-85 jobs will be cut.
Aftonbladet Hierta Aktiebolag is a subsidarity of the scandinavian media group Schibsted. In 2009, Schibsted's Swedish activities were merged into one company, Schibsted Sverige AB, which consists of three entities: Aftonbladet, Svenska Dagbladet and Schibsted Tillväxtmedier.
