Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ericsson, Swedish maker of mobile phone network equipment, is expanding its Finnish operations by up to 110 employees.
Ericsson has announced that it is opening a research and development unit in the northern city of Oulu. The unit is to start operating in autumn of 2011. In the first phase, it would employ about 200 persons, 50 by Ericsson and 150 by its partners. The unit may later expand to several hundred workers.
Ericsson is also planning to hire additional 40-60 workers to its main Finnish unit in the southern town of Kirkkonummi.
