European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Health and social work group Zonnehuizen announced recently that it had reached an agreement with the unions to cut 243 jobs. The severe financial problems that the group has been facing due to lack of integration following a series of mergers and takovers are quoted as main reason behind the planned restructuring. Accordingly, the group incurred a loss of 16 million euros in 2010 and foresees a loss of 3 to 6 million euros in 2011.
