Description
The first Bulgarian IKEA outlet is to open in Sofia on 20 September 2011 and 350 jobs are expected to be created (including 130 part-time jobs). As of 7 September 2011 already 330 jobs have been created. The new outlet covers 30,000 sqm and is expected to receive 1.5 million visitors in the first year.
Swedish furniture retailer IKEA, operate in Bulgaria through Greek-based Fourlis Group, which is IKEA's Bulgarian franchisee. Fourlis plans to open a second store in Varna. A third outlet may be opened in the next five years.
