Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The management of the regional Hospital in Szczecin (Wojewódzki Szpital Szczeciński) announced plans to cut 180 jobs by the end of July 2011. The dismissals will affect 130 people in permanent employment and 50 people on fixed term contract. The hospital will close the paramedical department and replace it by the outsourcing services. Most of the redundant staff are women.
