Description

NRW Karbonia, a coal mine company, will reopen a coal mine Dębieńsko, which was closed 11 years ago. The company has started the recruitment of 200 people.

In late May 2011 the company started to modernize the unit and initially hired 200 employees. The first stage is a modernization or demolition of buildings - some of them are over 100 years old. The company plans to invest 2.5 billion PLN (approx. 625 million EUR) and hire even 2,500 people at the full production. The coal deposits are estimated at about 150 million tons.

Established in 1999, NRW Karbonia is a part of the New World Resources, which operates in central Europe (Czech Republic and Poland) and employs 18,553 people.
