Description
On 25 May 2011 the Local Goverment in Częstochowa announced plans to reduce the employment in the local schools by 187 jobs.
The cuts will affect 120 teachers on permanent contracts and 67 teachers on temporary contracts. According to "Gazeta Prawna" the job reduction in 2011 could cover even 30% of the schools workforce across Poland. Dismissals are due to the "baby bust" phenomenon (during last 20 years the population of pupils in Poland has reduced by 2 million people) and public expenditure cuts for education.
