European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Romanian government has announced that the state-controlled electricity provider Complexul Energetic Turceni will lay off 200 employees in 2011 as part of a sector-wide restructuring.
The decision has been announced by the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Business Environment on 16 June 2011. The dismissed workers will receive a compensatory payment of EUR 4,000 in 2011 and 2012.
