Description

On 14 April 2011, the Portuguese retailer Jeromino Martins, which operates through the Biedronka chain store in Poland, announced plans to create 4,000 jobs in 2011. The company has been making high profits and it expects sales to increase by 30% in 2011.

In 2010, Biedronka hired additional 2,500 people across Poland (about 80% of workforce is female and the average age is 32 years).

Jeromino Martins has been operating in Poland since 1995. The company has 1658 stores in 700 Polish cities and 9 distribution centres across the country and employs overall 30,000 people.
