European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Southern Cross, a care home provider, has announced plans to cut 3,000 jobs and expects the cuts to be completed by October, after a period of consultation with unions. Unions called for the government to step in with financial support. Southern Cross has already deferred 30% of its rent to landlords of its 750 homes as it tries to avoid bankruptcy.
