Description
The Slovak Customs Administration has dismissed 800 employees and plans to dismiss another 200 employees by the end of April 2011. The first wave of dismissals was completed in March 2011.
The job cuts are attributed to the implementation of the UNITAS programme promoted by the Ministry of Finance which envisages the merger of tax and custom offices with a view to decreasing public expenditures.
