Description
Barts and The London NHS Trust has announced that it is to cut 635 jobs over the next two years in an attempt to reduce costs. The trust expects to make 200 compulsory redundncies, but hopes that the remainder will be lost through natural wastage and voluntary redundancy. Around 100 beds are to be lost, 260 nursing staff, 83 fewer clinical and diagnostic posts, 220 fewer administration and clerical posts and 72 fewer corporate roles. The job cuts are expected to generate savings of around £30m.
