Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 11 March 2011, Pilkington Automotive, a manufacturer of automobile windshields and windows, announced plans to build a new factory in Chmielów, in the Special Economic Zone of Tarnobrzeg. The company plans to employ 400 people and invest 350 million PLN (around 90 million EUR). The factory will start production in the second half of 2011.
Pilkington Automotive belongs to NSG Group, which has been operating in Poland since 1993. NSG has 11 units across Poland and employs approximately 1,800 workers.
