Description
The Swedish furniture group Ikea announced its plans to recruit 190 employees at its new site near Caen, which is expected to open on 2 November 2011. Employees will be recruited according to a method first used at an automotive plant near Poitiers, which consisted in recruiting employees from a labour pool with limited experience. Those applying to the job openings will be assessed on a number of short role-play simulations. Candidates who perform well in this preliminary phase will be then interviewed. Candidates will not be required to submit a motivation letter and their CV to apply for the job openings.
