Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 14 February, call centre operator Webhelp announced its intention to recruit between 120 and 130 employees in 2011 after the expansion of its sites in Etrelles (Ile-et-Vilaine). Webhelp added 800 square meters to its site after it had won a new client, the TV channel Canal +. The group Webhelp, established in 2000, has 7,500 employees (France, Morocco, Romania).
