Aloca-Köfem Ltd has announced its plans to hire 130 new employees in January 2011. The company is receveiving a HUF 50 million investment from the EU to improve communication, conflict management skills and competitiveness.
Aloca Inc. is producer of primary aluminum, fabricated aluminum and alumina and employs approximately 59,000 people in 31 countries across the world. Alcoa acquired majority stake of the Light Metal Works of Székesfehérvár (now Alcoa-Köfém Kft.) in 1993 of which it has had full ownership since 1996. There are four manufacturing branches that belong toAlcoa-Köfém Ltd. in Hungary: the European Mill Products (EMP), combining Casthause and Flat Rolled Products, Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products (AWTP), Alcoa Fastening Systems (AFS), and Alcoa Power and Propulsion (APP) Howmet castings. Alcoa has also deployed its global service centre in Hungary covering European and some North-American Financial and Administrative issues.
