Description
The BBC has confirmed plans to cut 650 jobs over the next three years in a bid to save £46m a year. Two thirds of the cuts will be implemented within the next 12 months. BBC plans to close 5 out of the 32 world language services. The cuts were blamed on last autumn's Spending Review when the government announced the BBC would take over the cost of the World Service from the Foreign Office from 2014.
