European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Provider of mobile and fixed telephony services Romtelecom, which is part of the Deutsche Telekom group, announced the intentin to dismiss between 1,000 and 1,400 employees in 2011. The job losses are blamed on the decline in revenues from fixed telephony. At present the company has approximately 8,500 employees.
