Description
Barnsley council has announced it expects to cut 1200 jobs over 4 years. The council announced that 156 posts would be cut with privatisation of the home helps service, and has announced that up to 335 jobs will be lost in early 2011. Union Unison has suggested that there will be a major impact on frontline services. The council leaver said all departments would be affected by the £40m of savings that needed to be made.
