Description
Dorset County Council has announced that it is to cut 500 jobs. In addition to the job cuts staff will be required to take 12 days unpaid leave, and pay for unsociable working hours will also be reduced. The local authority has announced that it would freeze vacancies and look for volunteers for redundancy but has acknowledged that some redundancies would be compulsory.
