Description
Beverage company Britvic Ireland plans to cut 100 jobs from February 2011. The company, whose brands include Ballygowan, 7Up, Mi Wadi and Club mixers, employs 730 people in Ireland. The redundancies will be mainly in the areas of sales and merchandising. Plus a small number of jobs in HR, IT, supply chain and finance will be lost. Most of the jobs, 88, will affect operations in the Republic of Ireland, at the company's plants in Dublin, and Counties Limerick and Cork. The remaining redundancies will affect Belfast operations in Northern Ireland. Britvic attributed the redundancies to a review of its business and internal restructuring.
