Description
St Helens Council announced that it has cut 170 posts and expects further job losses that will be announced over the coming weeks. The council has said that front line services will be hit in areas such as crime, education, health and support for special needs. Compulsory redundancies are to be minimised by not filling posts as they become vacant and by offering a voluntary redundancy scheme.
