Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 28 December 2010 the Council of Ministers adopted a change in the multiannual program for Bridgestone, which builds a factory in Stargard Szczeciński. The program has covered a financial support for the investment in the years 2006-2010. The Japanese tire manufacturer committed to complete the investment by the end of 2010. According to the new agreements the capital expenditure will be not reduced and the company will invest minimum 200 million Euros, but the company will create only 600 jobs (159 jobs less than it was planned earlier). About 194 jobs will be created for people with higher education. The factory in Stargard Szczeciński has been operating since May 2009 and it employs 484 workers. Bridgestone has 4 factories in Poland (in Poznań, Wolsztyn, Żarów, Stargard) and employs 2,000 people.
