Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 26 November 2010, the local government of The Hague announced it will cut 1,200 public sector jobs in the coming four years. Currently the Hague government employs 8,300 people. The authorities expect that the majority of redundancies will be voluntary, but forced dismissals are not being ruled out.
