Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Goodman Medical Ireland is to create 115 new jobs in Galway. The Japanese medical devices manufacturer is to begin recruiting for manufacturing positions immediately, as of December 2010. Goodman Medical Ireland currently employs 56 people in the manufacture of cardiology products. Over the next five years, 115 more jobs will be added as part of a €1.1m investment. They include new positions in research and development.
