On 17 November 2010 a DIY store chain Castorama specializing in building material announced opening of a new unit in Toruń by June 2011. The company plans to create about 200 jobs of which 170 (120 men and 50 women) will support sale operations, 10 office workers and 12 security workers.
Castorama is a French retailer of DIY and home improvement tools and supplies. The company has been operating in Poland since 1998. Castorama has 56 stores across Poland and employs 10,000 people.
