Description
Financial services company Citi has announced 250 jobs in Dublin and Waterford within the next 18 months, bringing its staff numbers in Ireland close to 2,500. The expansion is backed by IDA Ireland, and grants will be given for some of the jobs being created.
Citi has had a presence in Ireland for 45 years and currently employs 2,200 staff. The new posts, most of them in the group's global transactions division, will mainly be aimed at graduates. Ireland faced competition from other countries for the new jobs, and Citi says Ireland was chosen because of the calibre of its existing employees and IDA support.
