The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Genband, an American telecommunications company, has announced 100 new jobs in Galway over the next three years. The company is investing €8m in Galway to establish its international headquarters and business services centre there. The company's investment is being supported by IDA Ireland.
The new posts will be in finance, supply chain management, customer support, software development, HR, legal and administrative activities. The Texas based company has operations in 50 countries, providing digital infrastructure and services for the telecommunications industry. 100 jobs will be created over the next three years with the first of those coming on stream before Christmas 2010.
