Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 30 October, 2010, pulp and paper manufacturer Weyerhaeuser announced plans to build a new plant in Gdańsk in 2011 and recruit 100 workers. About 250 temporary jobs will be created for the construction of the factory. The plant will launch production by 2012. Weyerhaeuser is one of the largest pulp and paper companies in the world. The company is operating in 10 countries over the world and employs 14,000 people. The company was founded in USA in 1990.
