Description
The Municipality of Køge (Køge Kommune) announced on 12 October 2010 that 250 employees in the municipality will be made redundant due to cost reductions of the budget. Youth educators in kindergartens and after-school centres will account for most of the lay-offs. In addition, teachers, social and health care workers, social workers and local managers will be hit by the redundancies. The municipality aims to cut around DKK 100 million (€ 13 million) of the budget for 2011.
