On 18 October 2010, a polyethylene foam producer Novostrat announced plans to build a factory in Olszyna (the Dolnośląskie Province) in 2011, where 200 people will be employed.
Novostrat is operating in Ireland, France and Poland and its polyethylene foam is used for packaging, floor screeds and heating systems and sound insulation.
