Description
Tieto, a Finland-based IT service company, has announced its plan to expand its Ostrava site and to create 100 new jobs by the end of 2010.The Czech site, providing outcourcing, development and consulting services for Czech and namely for foreign customers, currently employs around 1,900 people. According to Hannu Syrjälä, President and CEO of Tieto, the firm aims to employ up to 40 percent of the staff in "low cost countries".
On 13 October 2010, the firm announced its plan to employ a further 500 workers in the long run.With around 17,000 experts, Tieto is the leading IT service company in Northern Europe and the global leader in selected segments.
