Description
ABB, a subsidiary of ABB Group which is a leader in power and automation technologies, plans to create 100 new jobs with the enlargement of its Brno factory. Some CZK 150 million will be invested in this business expansion. As of October 2010, there is no information on when the jobs will be created. The plant will produce power distribution units for high voltage equipment and will export its products to most European markets and the Middle East.
The Swiss-Swedish company has been operating in the Czech Republic since 1991 and currently employs 2,800 people. The firm has subsidiaries in around 100 countries and employs about 117,000 people.
