Description
The administration of the Elsinore municipality announced on 24 September 2010 that it plans to layoff 132 municipal employees in 2011. The redundancies are planned to reduce the 2011 budget by 144 million (DKK).
Staff cuts are part of a broad agreement on the budget for 2011. Politicians hope that public sector consolidation can be accomplished without definite layoffs, but admit that the workforce must be reduced.
There is no information about the total number of employees in the municipality of Elsinore
