Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On september 8 2010, Swedish-American battery manufacturer Nilar has announced that 125 people will be employed in Gävle, Sweden. The recruitment is a result of the opening of a new factory in Gävle. Nilar produces and develops nickel metal hydride batteries for different industries such as the automotive industry, telecommunications industry and for intelligent energy grids. The production in Gävle is planned to start during summer 2011.
