Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Direction Générale de l'Armement (DGA), the government agency in France responsible for developing and evaluating weapons systems, is to invest 30 million euros towards expanding its site in Bruz, creating 250 additional jobs by 2012. Four additional buildings will be constructed, including a laboratory for R&D. By 2012, the site of Bruz host all activities for the Ballistic Research Laboratory and aerodynamic (LRBA - Laboratoire de recherches balistiques et aérodynamiques ) of Vernon (450 employees), in Normandy, which would close in two years.
