Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Givaudan, Swiss manufacturer of flavourings and fragrances, announced the opening of a perfumes and flavor processing plant in Makó, Hungary. The plant will initially employ 200 people, but 100 additional employees will be hired in 2013.
This is the company's first investment in Eastern Europe, implying a shift of its production from Great-Britain and Switzerland to Hungary. The investment was supported by the National Ministry of the Economy, the Hungarian Investment and Trade Development Agency (ITD Hungary) and the city of Makó.
Givaudan employs over 8,500 people and has subsidiaries in 45 countries.
