OP Prostějov, a traditional Czech clothing manufacturer, has annonced 500 job cuts. The firm has been undergoing bankruptcy since January 2010 and closed one-third of its 100 stores in order to maintain profitability of the business.
Since April 2010, the firm had to reduce workforce by a total of 1,100. In April 2010, the company announced a workforce reduction of 600 out of 1,500 staff (see fact sheet No 15436).
