Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Hidria Perles, a producer of electrical hand tools, is to lay off 69 employees at its factory in Kranj in the Gorenjska region. The company is part of the Slovenia-based Hidria Group. Before the restructuring the company employed 260 people but was forced to react to a severe reduction of orders during the economic downturn and a loss of trade to key clients.
